Lisa, you responded to a comment I had made on a now deeply-buried BuzzMachine post, so I figured it would be better to reply here... As I'd said there, I think what Hossein is doing is great and I wish him a terrific trip. But I also thought he was exaggerating regarding his potential difficulty getting into Israel, the effect it would have on his future travel to Iran and the response he'd get in Israel. (After all, a few months ago another Muslim Iranian blogger blithely sailed through Israel and won a gold medal at the Maccabiah Games before it occurred to anyone to wonder what a guy named Mohammed was doing there.) It looks like I was right on the first and third points. You mentioned that he did get his passport stamped, although it wasn't clear whether the official insisted on that or if he didn't request a separate stamp. If the former, I apologize for belittling his concern -- in either case, I hope he has a fantastic visit.
