A very good translation.
I would have to say that I agree with some of what the author is saying, and perhaps in an ideal world where our neighbors were Europeans, it might be workable.
But look what happened to Joseph's Tomb. What would prevent that from happening to Rachel's Tomb if we were to surrender sovereignty.
Really, I think Meir Shalev hasn't quite thought the matter through.
