Excellent comment. This is what I would want to see too in any country that is ethnically diverse (I say that because, again, I see parallels to Lebanon here). A place where the laws were fair enough that it wouldn't matter if you were jewish, muslim or anything else. Unfortunately, I don't see this happening.
