No I did not see any accusation against Israel by Miriam. What I saw was how this event - which may have been staged - became such an icon so quickly. It doesn't really matter what the truth is once that image is burned into people's brains so that it symbolizes the conflict for them. There is no way to use that image that doesn't carry with it the original falsehood, which is the latest version of the blood libel. I am simply remarking how pervasive and unquestioned it is. The whole point is that Miriam is simply reporting her feelings and impressions, and that's what they were.
