Zvi, you certainly delurked with a bang! Thanks so much for your thoughtful comment.
I agree that prejudices are mental habits, and I agree absolutely that the most intriguing blog conversations take place when people actually listen and think - instead of trying to score points. I tend to surf away from point scoring sessions pretty quickly - they're boring, frustrating and pointless.
I have also seen some fascinating examples of real dialogue - although the point - although scoring kind is far more common, of course - and I am really wondering if blogs and message boards will succeed in creating more real conversations.
The blogosphere is still very new, but it seems to be evolving in a very interesting direction. It has certainly opened a lot of windows for me - and I know it has for a lot of other people, too.
