I must say I agree with this comment by Zvi and applaud his/her ability to put this into words in such a succint and powerful manner. To the others: Sure the problem is a bit more complex. But I think that in the end, a lot of it tends to revolve (if not originate) with the very notions of "bad mental habits" that Zvi so eloquently points out.
