You said "loony-fringe". I was referring to normal people who listen to NPR (which although considered "liberal" in the US, is far from a Looney-fringe media outlet). If we're gonna start talking about what looney-fringes think and assuming that their views are "common in the west", then I'm sure you'd love to take a few neo-nazi publications in the US and generalize them to "Americans hate jews". However, I don't believe that was the point of the article here, nor was it the point I was addressing.
