Re: Through the eyes of an Israeli abroad
by Anonymous
"If a foreign army were to invade New Zealand, you claim, destroy Wellington and Rotoura and even end up knocking on your door in Christ Church, you would surrender. What’s the point of going to battle in the name of political interests?" Well, ironically, this is the argument Palestinians/ Arabs use as well as Israelis. When was Palestine (yeah I know, it was never called Palestine, etc etc..) ok when was this land a nation which belongs to the Israeilis? 2000 years ago? who got them out? where were the natives during those 2000 years? do they have the right to come and claim the land is theirs? so, what would you do as an arab who was raised in this land ever since your ancestors can recall, if someone comes and takes your land? :) I am not defending this way of thinking by my fellow arabs, since this leads nowhere. I am saying that the ideas in here provide nothing new, and is not the way to go if one is really looking for a solution. and so, I found nothing interesting or new in the article. Respect, A.T.
