The article by the Israeli girl in NZ is certainly thought provoking and well stated (or do we give Lisa credit for lending her own elegance to the translation?). Except for the Israeli-Arab socio political context, she could have been describing any American or Canadian college kid with a beer and a French (or Mexican) girlfriend and a TV, oblivious to certain world realities immersed in bland idealism.
What I find invaluable here is the excellent and very intelligent posts by many who have commented. I certainly can't add anything like that except to say that this is one of the most informative and stimulating posts and dialog Lisa has put up in recent memory.
