The part I found the most interesting (besides the hospitality part) was the "Heard about Israel" wording Lisa used in the post. Lisa, maybe you can elaborate about this a bit. But did these people never hear of Israel before their ordeals? As in, they had no clue it existed? Another question that comes to mind (and forgive my ignorance here): Are these folks muslim? (I am assuming they are based on their first names, and the fact they come from Sudan). And if so, how does their faith/religion practices play out with life at a Kibbutz? (Inquiring minds want to know!)
