Lisa, Do you think they're supposed to be Jewish? I think in America they would be "recognized" as WASP (I know someone is going to ask me about those quotation marks - I used them because, in reality, there obviously are Jews who look like that couple). But in Israel, American Jews are often parsed simply as Americans, not necessarily Jewish. Maybe I'm wrong about that...
